It is one of the most recognisable flute riffs in one of Australias most famous songs, but it seems the introductory hook to Men at Works classic hit Down Under was not original.
It was in fact stolen from another famous Australian song - the childrens nursery rhyme Kookaburra Sits In The Old Gum Tree, which was penned by Melbourne school teacher Marion Sinclair for a Girl Guides competition in 1934.
